MINISTRY CELEBRATION 2007

 

MINISTRY UPDATE: A GLIMPSE AT THE REST OF THE YEAR

 

God is moving in mighty ways at Abandon Productions.  As we work to raise our annual budget through our ministry partnership emphasis and finalize our ministry plans and schedule for Fall 2007, we are constantly reminded of God's goodness.  We initially had an Abandon Tour event scheduled for Thursday, September 6, 2007, that had to be postponed to a later date.  Little did we know that this would be a blessing in disguise.  The venue was struck by lightning days before the event would have initially occurred causing mass electrical power and equipment failure in the facility.  Please keep the venue, Parkview Baptist Church in Metairie, LA, in your prayers as they move forward in recovering.  We plan on being at that very spot in October celebrating the renewal of the facility by bring the Abandon Tour there as an outreach to students and the community.

 

We at Abandon Productions would like to take a moment to review some of our additional plans for Fall 2007.  Tentatively scheduled for Tuesday, October 2, 2007, is Abandon Productions' Ministry Celebration 2007.  We invite you to join us for a night of fellowship and fun featuring music from New Orleans area artists and inspiring testimony about what God is doing in and through Abandon Productions in the city of New Orleans, LA, and beyond.  The Restoration: New Orleans movement is continuing to take shape as outreach projects are launched to impact school campuses in Greater New Orleans with another large scale rally coming soon.  Our annual leadership and enrichment conference, History Makers, had to be canceled in 2006 but will relaunch later this year.  Lastly, we are continuing to finalize dates for Abandon Tour 2007.  Stay posted to our Calendar link or www.myspace.com/abandonproductions for all of the latest information.

 

ABANDON TOUR DATE ON 9-6-07 POSTPONED

MINISTRY PARTNERSHIP EMPHASIS LAUNCH

 

On Wednesday, August 1, 2007, Abandon Productions officially launched its ministry partnership emphasis to obtain the resources that will be needed to reach the city of New Orleans, LA, and beyond for Jesus Christ.  Our goal is to raise around $50,000 to meet our budgetary needs.  We acknowledge that the means needed to accomplish this great work will be vast, but we know and trust that God is going to equip us through faithful financial partners such as you...

RESTORATION: NEW ORLEANS

ABANDON PRODUCTIONS FORMS NEW PARTNERSHIP

 

Abandon Productions would like to announce that it has formed a new partnership with the North American Mission Board (NAMB).  Manager/Founder Dean Ross in conjunction with Abandon Productions, Inc., will be serving as an evangelism specialist effective Monday, July 16, 2007.  NAMB will provide us with further ministry efforts in the metropolitan area of New Orleans, LA, as well as provide some additional resources.  Abandon Productions would like to thank NAMB for the opportunity to partner together in ministry.

 

OUT OF RANGE

 

On Wednesday, June 27, 2007, Abandon Productions officially formed a partnership with Ignite Mission (www.ignitemission.org) to help promote Out of Range, a prayer conference and gathering on August 24-August 25, 2007, at New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary in New Orleans, LA.  The gathering has been promoted at some of our past events, and we will continue to promote the event until it occurs.  Out of Range participants will have the opportunity to come together with groups of young adults from around the country to unite in prayer while hearing teachings from Dr. David Platt (www.brookhills.org), prayer walking the city, worshiping with Andrew Ogea Band (www.myspace.com/andrewogeaband), and experiencing a concert of worship and prayer with Leeland (www.leelandonline.com).  For more information visit www.outofrange.org.

ABANDON PRODUCTIONS, INC.

 

On June 27, 2007, we officially incorporated as "Abandon Productions, Inc." declaring our intent to organize as non-profit organization.  We look forward to ministering for years to come as we have under the banner of "Abandon Productions Ministry" now officially organized as "Abandon Productions."  Please pray for us as we complete this process.  We will keep everyone posted as everything develops.

Help us spread the word about the launching of the year's Abandon Tour with our first scheduled event on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Celebration Church's Transcontinental Campus (2701 Transcontinental Drive, Metairie, LA  70006) for 7:00 pm with doors opening for 6:00 pm.  The line-up for the evening includes Rush of Fools performing their #1 song "Undo" that is setting records and topping radio charts nationwide.  Also appearing is Jake Smith performing songs off of his new Rocketown Records' release "Real" hitting stores nationwide on July 31, 2007.  The night will also serve as Jake Smith's hometown CD release show.  Local favorite Greg Troyer will also be playing at the event performing songs from his upcoming release and favorites from his last album including "You Are" which was named one of the Top 100 songs of the year on Christian Radio and Retail Weekly's (CRW) Inspo 2005 chart.

APM UPDATES

 

Much is happening in the world of Abandon Productions Ministry.  We would like to take a moment to keep everyone posted on some of our ideas and what is happening:

 

Restoration: New Orleans--On July 14, 2007, we are launching an emphasis to reach out to the metropolitan area of New Orleans, LA.  We see it as no surprise that God placed our ministry headquarters in New Orleans area, and we are committed to do everything we can to see restoration, renewal, and revival in this city for the glory and fame of Jesus Christ.  Check out all of the details for this event on our Calendar link.  Please keep us in your prayers.

 

Abandon Tour (feat. Rush of Fools)--We are actively working to finalize details for our first announced Abandon Tour location for 2007.  Tentatively on Thursday, August 9, 2007, in Metairie, LA, we will be holding a concert featuring Rush of Fools (www.rushoffools.com) performing their #1 song "Undo," Jake Smith (www.jakesmithmusic.com), and much more.  Details are coming soon, so stay posted.

 

Abandon Tour 2007--This fall we will be hitting the road bringing the good news to others via concert.  Abandon Tour will feature Greg Troyer (www.gregtroyer) among others.  We are currently booking and lining up shows for the fall.  For more information go to the Abandon Tour link on this site.

 

Other than some of the big events coming up, there is much more going on at Abandon Productions Ministry.  As we announced previously the ministry has launched on a more full-time basis, so we are actively working on finalizing details and specifications in this area.  We will soon be launching a ministry partnership emphasis to raise awareness of who we are, what we doing, and how others can potentially partner with us in our ministry endeavors.  We recently acquired the rights to abandonproductions.com, which will soon be linked with our current URL to make it easier for others to find and view our site.

FACEDOWN: A NIGHT OF PRAISE

THE GO TOUR & MORE

Also, we are calling on all of our prayer warriors.  Over the next couple of months our leader, Dean Ross, and this ministry could use prayer for God's guidance and where the Spirit might lead us next to proclaim to the world the message of Jesus Christ while enriching believers abroad.  Thank you all so much for your support.

 

SO WHAT IS HAPPENING THIS YEAR?

 

We are exited about 2007 here at Abandon Productions Ministry.  Many cool and exiting things are on the horizon.  The beginning of the year is going to be relatively slow as far as events are concerned.  Our biggest events currently on the schedule for this Spring are the Next Generation Golf Tournament on Monday, March 19th in Abita Springs, LA and Elevate, a youth worship and prayer rally, on Friday, April 20th at God's House-Westbank Cathedral in Marrero, LA.  Currently we are working on bringing an event called Shoutfest (www.shoutfest.com) to the New Orleans metropolitan area in the Fall.  There will be many updates on future and developing events in the coming months, so stay posted to the website or our myspace page at www.myspace.com/abandonproductions for further information.  Continue to keep us in your prayers.  God bless.
